Romance authors, it’s that time again!
Last year, I opened up a free editing giveaway on a whim—and it was such a joy that I’ve decided to make it an annual tradition here at LoxOnBooks. This is my way of giving back to the book community I love so much.
If you’re an indie author (or just a writer on a budget) with a holiday book, a 2026 release, or a shelved book baby that deserves a second chance, this one’s for you.
What’s Included
One author will win a free edit of their manuscript (your choice of copy editing, line editing, OR proofreading).
I won’t be offering developmental edits this round—but I’ll make sure your words shine at the sentence and page level.
Who Can Enter
- Romance authors only (all subgenres welcome)
- Manuscripts must be 80,000 words or fewer (shorter projects are welcome, too)
- You’ll need to submit a 1,000-word sample for a test edit (confidentiality guaranteed)
- This isn’t a rush edit—final delivery will be Fall/Winter 2025
- Sorry, no previous clients this time around
How to Enter
Simply fill out the Giveaway Entry Form with your manuscript details and sample submission.
The winner will be chosen and announced on September 22, 2025.
Why I Do This
Editing is more than catching typos—it’s about polishing your voice, elevating your story, and helping your book connect with readers. Offering this giveaway every year is my small way of making sure that one more beautiful romance finds its way into the world, no matter the author’s budget.
