And Lord have mercy, this one took me on a deliciously taboo ride. The crux of the storyline lies in the age gap between Rowdy and Atlas. Honestly though, you don’t even notice it. Atlas seems a BIT mature for her age and I don’t think Rowdy ever matured! The chemistry between them is off the charts and they are seriously perfect for each other. As many screws as Rowdy has loose, Atlas isn’t working with a full toolbox either. Y’all…when she did ‘the thing’ and said, “And then I went,” I LEGIT LOST IT! (Read the damn book so you can lose it with me). Not gonna lie, had to reread that part twice. I think I was in shock. Or awe. Not sure which one.
I am a newbie to Ms. Reid’s writing but she killed me dead with this book. I got the full spectrum of feels from this bad boy! We have a young woman who is grieving and on a blind mission of self discovery and a volatile, grown ass man who is always packing heat, whoopin’ ass, and making that money. The suspense and the mystery are also shining stars of ITG! I’m sorry I’m all over the place with this review…it’s Ms. Reid’s fault! I’m still recovering from this book! Go get it! It’s a must read!
