Oi! The world of Vakeeli has completely captivated me! Ms. Shanora’s Tethered Series is a masterpiece, and “Wicked Ties” picks up right where “Vicious Bonds” left us hanging.

The drama and suspense in this book are deliciously intense. We delve into Caz’s past, understanding the makings of the man he’s become. Vakeeli is rife with deceit and greed, which have also shaped our MC.
We’re also treated to a stunningly vulnerable side of Caz. His tenderness with Willow? Utterly heartwarming! The blushing, the clinging—it’s all too adorable.

“I want to live the rest of my life with you, provide for you, protect and take care of you. My heart only ever beat for you.” EPIC!

The lovers’ journey to Earth injects humor into the dark narrative, with Caz’s reactions to our world being particularly delightful. The depth of the bond between Willow and Caz shines here; their love is an all-consuming, ride-or-unalive affair.

Then came chapter 60. It blew my mind. Ms. Shanora, why must you toy with our emotions, and poor Caz’s? Despite the heart-stopping moments, this scene is the crowning jewel of the book, intertwining haunting beauty with profound emotion. The ghost of Caz’s tragic history collides with the vibrant reality of his present and future, creating an intense moment of stark contrasts. The juxtaposition of light and dark here is chef’s kiss!
And that ending—what a cliffhanger! It was everything I could have hoped for and more.

Here’s a little surprise—I’ve fallen for a minor character. Phil, with the recurring mention of his ashy predicament, brought unexpected laughter and life to the pages.

As the next and final book approaches, I’m a bundle of sadness and excitement.
